We are often asked during our telephone consultations whether our training programs are state-recognized. The answer is: State-recognized training programs include vocational training as a dietitian, physiotherapist, sports and gymnastics instructor, and academic degrees in nutritional science or nutritional science. The health and nutrition coaching industry is a free education market, and we have been providing training in it for 25 years as an independently certified training company.

Some continuing education providers advertise their qualifications as state-recognized. This is illegal and can lead to legal action. Such companies generally specialize in distance learning. Any educational institution can have its training recognized by the state Central Office for Distance Learning if it wishes to offer its courses as distance learning. This means that in this case, the distance learning methodology is recognized by the state, not the qualification itself.

We focus on live online seminars. Our participants learn from experienced professionals rather than from pre-produced instructional videos, which often do not reflect the latest knowledge. Therefore, we do not pursue state recognition as a distance learning course. We strive to train our seminar participants to become excellent experts. In our opinion, there is no alternative to a high proportion of face-to-face instruction. You won’t find Dr. Jens Freese’s numerous explanations, practical examples, tips, and tricks in any book. Of course, our teaching methodology does not preclude us from providing you with extensive training materials for reviewing the course content and preparing for exams.

Since September 2006, we have been a recognized full member of the  Quality Association for Vocational Continuing Education  of the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce. This quality association is regularly audited by  CERTQUA , the certification body of the German economy. As a member of the quality association, we are subject to strict quality criteria in order to offer you the highest possible quality of education. We were recertified again in 2024. For this reason, we are authorized to accept funding vouchers from the federal and state governments.

The topic of “provider qualification” of primary prevention and workplace health promotion measures is regulated in Section 20 (Prevention and Self-Help) of the Social Code – Book Five – Statutory Health Insurance:

The guidelines of the umbrella associations of health insurance funds, dated 10 February 2006, state:

“To ensure high quality in the implementation of the measures, the criterion “provider qualification” refers to professional groups with state-recognized training in the respective field. In addition to the professional requirements in the form of degrees, additional qualifications are often required; reference is also made to relevant, professionally recognized continuing education standards.”

The health insurance company’s partner is formally the course instructor for the preventive measure. They must submit a detailed course concept including the course objective, content, methodology, target group description, and costs, as well as provide evidence of relevant basic and additional qualifications. These basic qualifications are almost always state-recognized training courses in nutrition or exercise, along with additional qualifications in specific areas.

prüfungen

Eine schriftliche Überprüfung erfolgt derzeit bei uns nur nach absolvierter Food Coach Ausbildung. Diese Prüfung findet online in der Regel 14 Tage nach Abchluss der Food Coach Ausbildung statt. Die Fragen sind nach dem Single-Choice-Pronzip gestellt, d.h. auf mehrere Antwortoptionen ist nur eine Antwort richtig. Eine weitere Abschlussprüfung aller Dr. Freese Seminarmodule ist in Arbeit. Am Food Coach können Sie ohne Vorkenntnisse teilnehmen. Bei allen weiteren Ausbildungen setzen wir das Wissen unseres Food Coachs oder vergleichbarer Ausbildungen voraus.
